flexible plastic holder for wires under slide-outs
Need help! I have the 06' 3400RL. The flexible black plastic panels (approx 6" X 3') that hold the wire harness under the slide-outs have broke away from the frame. Looks like a major repair if the wires have to be removed to complete the fix. Waiting for a reply from Keystone. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

The fix seems to be to install a hinge where the harness plastic breaks, use washers and bolts, it should be fine then.
Good luck.

Ours broke on our 2006 model and they replaced it with a hinge. I read the fix here on the forum and the dealership went to the local hardware store and brought them back and did the repair.
There are pictures of the fix here on the board. I am not the person to locate them, but maybe a computer wizard will post the link.

Well the good news is that keystone and Lippert are now officialy aware that a problem with the bracket exist. The problem seemed to be a surprise to them at the fall rally and both Lippert and keystone reps could be seem under various Montanas observing the problem first hand. You may get some satisfaction and you may want to contact Lippert about the issue as Jason Lippert (that would be the owner of the company) was himself under Montana's observing the problem..

Ours broke also and we were 1 month out of warranty. Dealer called Keystone and they said they would not fix. That was the first time we used our extended warranty, the cost to us after dealer had to replace 3 of those brackets was $75. Just put another year on replaced brackets same ware on them and they still look brand new. Maybe our dealer did something special or replacement brackets were better material. Stacy

We fixed ours with hinges. Our dealer ordered new parts and gave them to us - when they looked at the hinges they said they couldn't have done the fix better. We'll keep the new parts in case the hinges fail. One of the techs did tell us that those parts come in more than one length, so maybe the wrong size parts were on the assembly line the day our Montanas were built.
