Got the above table....How simple..When you see it you say....Why did I not think of that..It is inexpensive (44.98) will work just fine, is easily modified..and looks good. Execpt for finding the molded plexiglass you could build this yourself for maybe 20.00.We are satisfied....That's again Sue for the tip...

How about sun-glare on the laptop screen when using the various tabletops in the PV? I'm awaiting my order from the mobilelaptopmount.com company, and was wondering if I need anything extra to enhance the screen visibility?

We have up to this time had the PC on the center console of the F-350 and I do not recall any problem with sun glare although I am sure it can happen. The tabeltop from the outfit above fit the F-350 out of the box although I am going to make a few modifications anyhow.. Going to bend it toward the passenger side a bit more..

You are welcome. Many hobbyist work with Plexiglas, my Father made things a lot so with it so you can buy it and with some special attachments for tools you could do this also. It was just nice to have it all there. We have ours by me (passenger) and just lowered it as it was in front of the air bag.

The program I use has an option for "in vehicle" display. Dark screen with kind of fluorescent lines and words. I have no problem seeing the screen while traveling.
Happy trails........................

Rich & Helen, Sue & Ed,
THANKS! for the input. Can't wait to get my software and tabletop delivered and up and running. We will be leaving Florida for Michigan in a couple weeks so that will be a good test run of the new equipment. Thanks again for all of your help and guidance.

A table for the laptop is nice. But when I'm driving, I don't want to be distracted by the computer screen. I let my navigator do all of that.

I noted today at Ace Hardware that you could buy all the parts for the tabletop execpt for the Plexiglass top and I could get one of those cut then glue the flange.. Today I bought 1 3 inch pipe, 1 5 inch pipe, 2 45 degree and 1 90 degree and a quick disconnect for 7.00..They also have the vinyl covering for 1.89 per foot.So simple and so practical..

Rich, any hardware store or plumbing store carry the pipe so if you are on the road (as we were when we decided to lower it) you can get parts. The flange is bolted onto the Plexiglas so if you were having the Plexiglas cut by someone you could have them install the flange also. This set up can also be installed so it will swivel from driver to passenger.
Orv, the screen is for the navigator in our case.
Happy trails......................

In the F-350 I am going to install it right in front of the passenger seat. It will be a straight up installation. The driver will never look at the PC while moving so it does not have to swivel. We have the quick disconnect right at floor level so when not in use we can remove the entire thing. We are also making another one because we are going to get the Rv backup cam and we will install that one on the console for the monitor.
