First Trip
Hi all,
Left Idaho on Monday and about 500 miles later I am in Southern Utah. Trip was not bad at all the Powerstroke had no problem with the new 3500RL. There was one 45 - 50 mile an hour wind gust that got my attention (took about 30 minutes to let go of the wheel)! Anyway found a couple of minor problems to look for on the new ones. After hooking up to water I found that I had quite a bit of water leaking from underneath. Further inspection showed that behind the hookup console there must me about 30 valves and conections. About half of them were loose. Also I had a bad electric heating element in the water heater. Both of these problems were minor and I was able to fix myself. I am very happy with everythine else so far but I will keep everyone informed. I hope everyone has a nice holiday weekend......MIKE and MARY

Congratulations on your first trip! Sounds like it's going pretty well and that you're very capable of taking care of the small problems. My favorite quote? "If you have an RV, you don't need a hobby."

Sounds like you got a good start, Mike & Mary.
I would find it very hard to deal with, if I couldn't fix most of the little things that can go wrong with any RV.
After many years of boating on the salt water, this stuff seems pretty simple.
Judy I like your Quote, "If you have an RV, you don't need a hobby."

Congratulations on the new 3500 and thanks for the tips to the new buyers. We will be picking ours up on Thursday. I wish I could say that we were headed out as soon as we picked ours up. Shucks we still have to work a while longer.
