WiFi access

I do not remember if the CG at Lake Siskiyou had WiFi or not. But we take our DirecWay system with us wherever we go. If we can get a fix on our satellite from our site..... 313.... and we should because we scouted it out pretty throughly then everyone is welcome to log on and use our system.

We tried the wireless router for the first time here at Minden and it worked fairly well. We had several people logged on at the same time and it did not slow the system down too much. The Network Operations Center had several outages and that caused some delays. But all in all it worked pretty well.

I believe FireTrucker and FireTruckerWife.... Bob and Sharon will also be bringing their setup. And who knows there may be some more out there.

If the signal does not reach to your site please feel free to bring your laptop over to our rig. You're always welcome.

Thanks Dennis and Mary Kay! That is right neighborly of you to offer that. Hopefully I have my laptop by then. I didn't order one yet as I felt quilty spending the money when I have a new desktop this year. Maybe those feelings will go away and I'll "let" Santa buy me one for Christmas!

Thanks Dennis and Mary Kay. It was great at Minden (except for the one day). We appreciate your generosity.
Happy trails...................

Again HamRad and MaryKay (PERetired) for the offer. We enjoyed it at the Minden rally.
