Awning bubble

I noticed a bubble about 3" in diameter on the underside of the material. It is delamination. I think it is air,not water. Nothing visible on the topside. Thinking about a pin hole to let air out. Anyone else have this problem.

First I have heard of that, after the pin hole, perhaps shoot some fabric-type glue in there to secure it?? I would think rolling it up would allow for the glue to set and hold.

New one for me. Agree with glue solution unless still under warranty, in which case let the dealer work the solution.

Just a suggestion! If you poke a hole in the bubble, even a pinhole and you shoot some glue into the bubble, I would definitely seal that hole with a piece of awning repair tape before rolling it up to let it set. By rolling it up, it may cause enough pressure on the bubble to squeeze some of that glue out of the hole if not sealed. If it sets up while the awning is rolled up and the glue oozes out, it may set up on the part of the awning in contact with that pinhole and glue itself to that part also. Just an idea but I'd rather be safe than sorry!

That was my concern also. I know if it was me I'd glue the awning shut by the time I was done.

Hi

After the glue use a large sheet of wax paper. Tape it over the hole and roll the awing up. That will allow the excess glue to squeeze out and the wax paper will prevent you from gluing the awing together.

Any ideas on how to get the glue in between the layers. I was thinking a turkey injector.

Or a syringe with the needle removed. I have used that on the boat on the headliner before.
