50 amp adapter junction box

I see Camping World sells an adapter box that lets you draw more current than a standard 30 amp service would. First, does it work? Second, seems it'd be cheaper to build one than pay the $80.00 CW is asking for the box. Any schematics out there for the box?

I would have my doubts, but I'd like to look and see what it's about.

If you're talking about the adapter that allows you to plug into a 30-amp receptacle and also a 20-amp receptacle, I have one and don't use it. Be glad to sell it to you for $40. I used to use it when parked in old county parks but we don't do that kind of parking any more since we have solar panels. Be advised, the adapter doesn't work if the 20-amp receptacle is a GFI.

You have to check the polarity also on the park power or it will be a bad short. I would be very leery to use one of these products and yes, My store (CW) does sell it. Here is the link. Steve
