Very difficult dump and grey tank Valves

Spray silicon fluid up the cables...lots of it. Let it sit for a bit, then pull. Should get easier. You have to take the handle off to get fluid into the cable. You may have to take cable out of its hole in the convenience center and elevate the end to get the fluid in. It is a long cable...spray, spray, spray. John

Had the same problem. Silicon did not help. Dropped the belly and found long cables with excessive loops and kinks. Had to reroute.

I had the same problem on my black tank valve. Have been using the valve lubricant sold at RV stores and it is working. In my case I don't think the problem was in the cable but in the valve body.

We had a problem with ours when we bought it also. The dealer ended up replacing the valves under warranty.

I also have a 3000RK and the galley valve takes 2 hands to open or close. That was after having galley tank replaced in 2012. Tank started leaking again, so I am having galley tank replaced again. Hope the valve opens easier this time. Told tech I had problem opening and closing valve so we will see if this is remedied.

Had the same problem, execpt the cable broke off. It was still under warranty.
Better now. I spray silicone and put valve lubricant in the tank.

Both were extremely hard to open/close. Black tank replaced with new valve assy. DW liked and wanted grey the same. Ordered valve assy and installed, piece of cake once belly cover down. Checked old assy out and found it GUNKED UP. Cleaned it up and lubed, now have spare. BTW, always lubed cables. Piano wire inside sleeve should not cause problems.

Replaced under ext. warranty. Was told to use about a cup of vegetable oil, dump in affected tank, let sit about 24 hrs then drain. That supposedly lubricate the valve sys.?? Not sure if that will work though.
