cracked cover under 5th wheel overhang

on my 2000 2850rk the cover under the 5th wheel decided to give up the ghost and basically cracked and fell apart, and in the process also caused the front cover to crack. have anyone had to repair this problem? as this cover appears to be stamped plastic i'm wondering about factory parts versus either frp sheet stock or painted aluminum sheet stock.

Hmmm possible frame problem. I hope not..... Don't know how to repair the plastic but some place surely sells sheets of that size.

I have pulled off the broken cover and the only thing I can find wrong is some of the 1x2 studs? are loose and moving around. I think the -35 to-40 temps we enjoyed this winter and the age of the plastic are probably the main reasons.

I googled Plastic Sheets and several companies came up that cut sheets of different thicknesses to size

Don't know what they used in 2000 for the bottom material, but they now use corroplast. It looks like corrugated cardboard in construction, i.e., a plastic front and back sheet separated by a wavy inner layer also of plastic. Do a search for that and you have your source for a new bottom. John
