Pinto Beans and Hamhock in the Crock-pot

My husband loves this served over a bed of white rice. It SO SIMPLE. Just get a bag of pinto beans-put it in the crock pot. Get a small 2 or 3 hamhocks or ham seasoning. You could even just add bacon slices. Put in the crock pot. Fill the crock pot up with water. Add salt and pepper. You can also add 1 chopped onion if you like. Let it cook all day..and at supper its ready.. and smells so GOOD. The ham just falls to pieces with the beans. Serve it on the rice.. and you got an old fashion meal.. beans and rice. This is about the cheapest meal.. and fills you up. If your honey is extra special.. you can make him some corn-bread to go along with it!Hope you like! Flo
