Leaking Vent
We recently noticed that one of the roof vents in our 3400RL developed a leak. I pulled the vent trim collar down and found hardly any moisture, but there is apparently a leak. Has anyone had any experience using Flex Seal on this type of problem?

You have a few concerning statements in your post, Like "as hardly any moisture". But any leak is a big problem in rvs. flex seal is not the way to start. First is it leaking sitting at the camp site or going down the road? Look at the dicor sealant around the cover, the rim seal on the vent itself, is the cover closing all the way? start there.

I was up on the roof last year and noticed the mushroom caps on my vents were getting chalky and brittle, although not yet leaking. And the sealant around the bases was starting to crack. I bought new vents. The bases still looked good. Not wanting to remove all the sealant to remove the old bases, I just removed the mushroom caps from the new vents and installed them on the old bases. And I resealed everything on the roof with new Dicor while I was up there.

Thanks for the response! The leak occurred while the unit was in storage and after several days of extremely heavy rainfall. The vent has a fantastic exhaust fan and the vent dome was completely closed when I inspected it. What I meant by "as hardly any moisture" was that only the edge of the ceiling panel was a little damp to the touch. The reason I asked about the flex seal was that I don't have a local source for Dicor (100 mile round trip) and I wanted to get this taken care of a.s.a.p.
Thanks again for the quick response !!!

Is it possible to spray the cover with a garden hose and have someone inside looking for the leak? its usually ether the dircor or rubber rim seal or its not closing all the way. Sometimes high winds can lift the lid a little and the rain can blow under it. My fantastic fan as a vent cover on it maybe that might also help here.
