Lowering Mountaineer 318BHS

Does anyone know if it is possible to lower a mountaineer 318BHS about 3-4 inches.

I guess I would have to ask WHY???? Then I would say, there isn't enough clearance between the top of the tire, and the floor of the trailer. That is, if the suspension hasn't been altered.

Was going to lower the ride height of my 07 sierra dually to make it easier to get in and out of. Only so much adjustment in the hitch head.

Hey Mark,
If your Chevy doesn't have running boards, nerf bars, or some other type of step, have you considered installing something of this nature?

Running boards would be my first thought instead of lowering the truck.

already have running boards, Just tired of reaching so far over the dually fenders to set the draw bar on the hitch and the break away switch.

The kid in me would like the truck to sit level, both with and without the 5th wheel in tow. I have thought about using the Cognito Motorsports kit to lift / level the front end, but my 5ft something wifey would rather see it get shorter...

Mark, I haven't looked, are there adjustment holes on the pin box? If so, will setting it in the lowest position, and raising the hitch to it's highest position, give you what your looking for?
