6 volt battery install
Had 2 deep cycle batteries from our previous trailer which I kept when we bought our new RV. (2011 295RKD) I unplugged the trailer from its power source (just to be safe) and proceeded to install the batteries according to the diagram that I had used before.
All excited I went in the trailer to check the panel to see what the "battery charge" showed, but nothing lit up. What am I doing wrong?? Plugged the trailer back into its power source but still nothing on the panel...

Does your RV have a battery disconnect feature? For some RVs there's an extra disconnect switch to prevent anything in the coach from discharging the batteries. Since you have a new 2011 this might need to be checked. My '06 has nothing like that, but I installed my own switch.
You don't show your diagram but I'm gonna assume that it has the positive post of battery one connected to the rig, then the negative post of battery one connected to positive post of battery two. Then the negative post of battery two is connected to the RV chassis. This means the 6v batteries are connected in series and provides additive voltage of 12V to the rig. I forget the gauge of the wires but that's important too.

Make sure you ensure your negative is to ground. If memory is correct they use Black for positive and White for Common/ground. If you wired them reverse you probably blew the protection fuses on the converter/12VDC buss panel.
Good luck and let us know what you find.

After checking to see if the battery disconnect switch was off, (which it wasn't) I went back in the trailer and tried the panel and after pushing abit harder on the battery button and the indicator showed full charge!!
Thank you to everyone for the input.
