Art, you need, then, to go to quartzsite in January. It's short sleeve weather, posterior exposure notwithstanding.

Thanks Steve (Riegle).
I am from San Antonio but moved to Southern California when I was 10 - what cold. Anything below 65 is COLD. Quartzsite in January would be way too cold even for this human... I feel my posterior won't be standing much or exposed to anybody. I would need to be seated and bundled and on a heated seating pad, too and sipping a hot mexican coffee.
We have scheduling problems that time of year and can't be out for a long time (2 days max maybe). Maybe I'll just threaten to show up to scare you and hitch my pony to someone's wagon so I don't get washed away like last year's event. I saw pictures. It was awesome, but while I am always prepared for the worst of conditions I don't like to knowingly pursue them. But we'll see. Thanks for the invite and to Robbie for posting the details.

Art,
Do I have to drag out the old message where you that said you wouldn't make it this year because of conflicts (2010), but you would make an effort for the next year?
.....conflicts? The Quartzsite Rally is definitely a conflict, but you're not that far away.....and the rally doesn't start until January 22.....now how's that for a pitch to get you and Marge there!
