Buy the extended waranty

Well it happened. the cooling unit has failed on our Norcold 1210, it started one day a week ago with the ice cream melting and i reset the unit and it started working again and then a couple of days ago the fridge was at 60 and the freeze at 40. so i called my rv tech guy and he did a few diagnostics over the last couple of days to see if the unit has failed, well it did so he is calling in the extended warranty and now we are getting a new cooing unit. he will have to pull the unit out and he said he was glad to see that our unit has a movable island and said is that a stock feature and we said that Montana only made this unit for a very short time and we love it and he said he did too being now we can push it out of the way so the fridge has lots of room to work on. so i have been told over the past that the extended warranty is a throw your money away thing but this is the third time, one with this unit and a couple of cars in the past we have owned and had to use it and now recommend buying it when they offer it. because the extended warranty has now paid for itself.
