We have not camped at any campgrounds in the Louisville area...however, I believe if you do a "campground" seach on the web in the Louisville area. Good luck in your search.

There is a campground in southern Indiana, it is approx. a 20 minute drive to the bridge over the Ohio on I65. The campground is Charlestown State Park in Charlestown Indiana. The sites are fairly large, all have asphalt pads and they have a number of them that are full hook up. Other sites are electric with water somewhat nearby. This is one of our favorite state park campgrounds in Indiana. We stayed here last year during the Good Sam Rally in Louisville. The trip to the fairgrounds was approx. 30 to 35 minutes, to give you some idea on distance.
