Pressure Pro TPMS
Think that I scored a good deal on Craigslist today. A couple just sold their Monaco rv but they took the three year old Pressure Pro 10 wheel TPMS off of it to sell separate. They had 11 updated with new gasket transmitters, echo repeater and truck/rv monitor. When we got done "negotiating", I handed the man 2 one hundred dollar bills and walked away. The monitor and repeater cost more than that. Checked it out and everything is working like it should. My tire man is getting me some metal valve stems to put on Monte and TV. Can't wait ! Maybe this will reduce some of my towing stress . Christmas came early this year for Stevie....lol.

You did good!! Keep in mind that the monitors are good in the case of leaks, but at speed with a China-bomb blowout, there is nothing that will help. Hoping you have different tires to put the sensors on?

Bingo, no we haven't swapped out the Mara-bombs yet. That will be a winter project. Hoping and praying that they will last for the three short trips that we have planned before winter. But watching for a good deal on some new tires everyday. If one comes along, I'll put them on sooner.

I have, and am still a fan of, the Pressure Pro. I just exchanged my sending units for new ones at the discounted price.

I did the same thing with a guy on the RV Network. They worked great and warned me of two tire failures this Summer and prevented a lot of damage to the RV.

You got a great deal. We have been using that system for 7 years on two Montana's. Would not leave home without it.

I just installed a TPMS this year after 5 yrs without one. Have never had a blowout or even a low tire. But the TPMS gave me much more peace of mind just being able to see the pressures and temperatures at a glance while driving.

The TMPS will not give adequate warning on a Blowout that is a "sudden and catastrophic failure" Boom and it is gone. It does warn of a decrease in PSI allowing you the time to safely stop and prevent damage to the RV. I can recall 5 cases over 7 years where the TMPS gave us low PSI warning and we were able to get off the roads safely. two with this 2013 top of the line, best you can buy 3402 Big Sky due to defective valve stems.

Good deal Steve. I have used mine for 6 years and it has alerted me to problems three times. I would not leave home without a TPMS.

If you use a pressure monitor that also monitors the internal temperature of the tires, you might have a hint that the blowout is a possibility. When the temperature of one tire is significantly higher than the rest of the tires a catastrophic failure might occur. Road hazards are not the only cause of a blowout.

Agree, one other major cause is the words "Made in China" imprinted on the side of the tires.
