CG near Kamloops, BC?

We're planning a cross-country trip over August. We want to leave Calgary and get to Comox, BC, in two days. Ignoring the ferry transit time to Nanaimo, we figure Kamloops is about halfway. Any ideas (+/-) about this plan and where we might camp in the Kamloops area?

If you get a copy of CAA camping book I find they have some good campgrounds in them. Here is a website with some campgrounds on it.

When we did our little trip into Canada we stayed at a CG just south of Kamloops. It was nice enough CG..... certainly nothing fancy. If I remember correctly it was mostly dirt roads and camp sites. There was some vegetation between some of the sites. Unfortunately I do not remember the name of the CG. While pretty basic it was a place we'd stay at again. Of course I'd have to remember the name first wouldn't I? Good luck and I hope you enjoy your trip. Later, Dennis.
