Triple slide start and stop unexpectidly

I have a 2880 tripple slide. When putting my siders in they stop and start agter 7 seconds. I have put in new batteries because of voltage. This was not the cure.
Any help would be appreciated.

do a search thomas, this was just discussed here on the MOC last week I believe.

welcome to the forum, good reading, many subjects come up over and over again.

Search at the top of the page, open up the time frame for 30 days, then try longer time frames.

Enjoy

I did find the circuit breaker last night. Just fo to a parts store. I bought mine from Sanels. But any parts store should have a 50amp auto reset breaker. $4.00 cheap enough.
Thanks and good luck. If you have no luck let me know and I will mail you a few.

wow, thanks for the information. Hubby keep telling me that I was letting up on the button. We have never been stuck, but always worried that we may be one day. I will get him to research all the information here that you have supplied and once again, thanks.

I am able to get the 50amp circuit breaker from NAPA for about $8.00 but I am looking for a 70 or 75amp to replace it. Not sure if I can use the same breaker that is in the panel box at home but may try that. Glad you got yours going.

TT2, I would love to see your details on making the breaker assembly. I plan on using a 50amp and a 20 or 30amp together.
Thanks in advance for your help,

TT2, Is that set up just for your sliders? I have one for the slides and another for the front jacks> Did you use a fifty and 20 amp together like in the picture? I am wondering how long a new 50 amp will last? At $4.00 each I think I can carry extra's.
Thanks

Tom I used it on my slides, and I used 2 50's with a reset on each. I cant answer the question on the front stabilisers you will have to ask Dale that.

I received this information from Leppert, a while back and ever sence I did it I never had anymore problems. if you want the tecnical questions write MIFM2 he can answer all that stuff all I did was make and install.

Thomas, ours did that when new. Keystone had the dealer replace the breaker with a larger one. Never another problem in the next four years.

Good morning All,
Well, I have relaces my 50 amp breaker and sure enough my slider still stop and start. I guess I will try the 2- 50 amp fuses together as in the picture and try that route. How come it worked for 4 years and then started to act up. I have replaces both 50a breakers and it still stops? Go figure. I guess after Nascar at Loudon, NH this weekend I will bring the camper home and try the double breakers.
Thanks to all and stay cool this weekend..

Thomas, your question about why it worked for 4 years triggered something in my mind. Have you ever cleaned and lubricated the toothed rack on the slider mechanism under the main slides (not the bedroom slide)? Ours will get jumpy when they need lubricating. Silicone spray works for lubricating as does TFE (SprayWay (brand), No. 101 Industrial TFE-DRY Lubricant Release Agent) that the factory service folks recommend. The key point is to use something that does not hold dirt. The slide lube you buy at Walmart and Camping World holds dirt.

It could be yours are dirty and that's causing just enough resistance to pop that breaker.

I agree with Steve, I think a check of all possabilities or causes, are both slides the same distance or are the racked causing a uneven push, air hose the slide gears and lub as Steve sugested. Replacing the fuses can't hurt and if it continues you have at least one area elemitated on your check list.

Hey TT2. I have always cleaned and lubricated my slides yearly. This is why it puzzled me. I need to find what guage wire to use for 2-50amp fuses in line? A hot weekend at the races. But it was exciting.. Thanks, Now I know why I was getting mail and could not see it. There was 2 pages and I only looked at page one. What a dummy. Oh well, Have a great evening..

Hi Thomas, I just finished with my update on the breaker assemble and I used 6 Gage wire as per instructions that I received.
They gave me a funny look when I went to NAPA and asked for 2 4" long pieces of 6 Gage wire. Oh well it all worked out and my slides work great. I use a 50 and a 30 breaker instead of 2 50s.

Good luck.
