Raising front of trailer

Need to raise front of trailer to increase side rail clearance. Trailer now looks to sit 1 to 1 1/2" low in front. Will raising front about 3" affect handling?

Should be as level as you can get it. Front a bit up is better than a bit down. You should be fine.

Usually the more level your fifth wheel is the better the weight is distributed on your trailers axles. Best thing is to adjust as necessary and then reweigh the unit and make sure that you are happy with the individual axle weights on truck and trailer. As stated previously I would rather have the front a bit high if I could not get it level.

I had to adjust my pin box to the lowest bolt holes so it would clear my side rails when backing into tight spots. My camper rides a little nose up with no handling problems at all.
