High straight line winds, Elephant Butte, New Mexico, a couple of days ago. Destroyed several trailers of all types.

Man that must have been hard on the frames as well as all the other damage. Joe

A wonder no one was killed. Similar storm hit Millford Lake in Kansas over Memorial Day and stripped a pop-up to the frame and turned a large 5th wheel over on the curb side. Firemen had to use ladders to get an old couple out of it.

These were winds of about 90 mph, totally destroyed several. According to people interviewed, typical thunderstorm, and then bam.... no warning that this type of wind was coming. Heck of a way to wake up from a nap. Thankfully no loss of life.

We are thankful no serious injuries. Stuff can be replaced

Man! I guess I'll have to think about adding aircraft tie-downs on the frame to the "setting up camp checklist". Holy Moly!
