Basement doors Dripping brown
My starboard side basement hatch (outside to the right of the front door is dripping a brown "Juice" every time it rains, leaving a brown stain from the gasket at the bottom of the basement door down. Water is entering the top of the door, soaking down and dripping out the little holes in the bottom edge of the hatch(door). Anyone else experience this?
Thanks.

PowellsMonty, The first thing I did when we got our Montana home was to replace the black striping that goes around each one of the doors. I got a white one from Walmart but cannot remember what the name was but it was in the shape of a V If you go to this link you will find the name. http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...ead.php?t=1832

Yes, my Monty is doing the same thing. What it is, is water getting in behind the strip of metal around the fiberglass of the door. When I wash my rig, I take the hose on full blast around that metal strip and flush until the water runs clear. I have been thinking of using some silicone around the fiberglass side of the metal strip. By doing so will seal in any moisture and cause rotting. I may wait for a long dry spell before doing this.

We don't get enough rain to see if ours did that. Didn't notice when we had it detailed.

I did replace the gasket. Didn't help that problem but cured the leak in the basement. Thanks all.
