Roof repair
I want to get up on my roof and check out the condition. I weight 280 lbs, is it safe to do so?
Also from looking at the roof while perched on the ladder it appears powdery with many black spots. I was thinking it looks like it needs to be scrubbed down then possibly recoated or resealed? Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated.

The roof is not a problem, but I think the ladder is only rate for 250 pounds if I remember correctly. The rubber roof material can be cleaned with a stiff brush and dawn dish detergent. I have never sealed the rubber membrane on any of our rigs, but there are some who have.

Your weight should be a non issue. A 7 year old roof will show some dis-coloring. I use Dawn with a touch of bleach, let the suds sit on the roof and then re-scrub. I use the same soft brush on the roof as the sides. Rinse the sides down so the roof runoff is not on a dry exterior.
I have never used any of the so-call rubber roof protect products.
Rather than cauking the roof seams with Dicor self leveling sealant I use Eternabond tape. I carry a 50' roll with me and a 2" wooden roller to press it down. Note: clean roof good and apply tape. When it touches the roof, it will be stuck. You can not peal off and reposition. I carry the 4" wide. It is available in several widths.

Well the ladder held me OK so I should be OK there. Who the heck designs a ladder that is only rated for 250 lbs? I guess an engineer that is 175lbs. Being 280lbs and 6' 3" is almost as troublesome as being left handed. Luckily I'm right hand.

Never been comfortable with those ladders, I always prop my telescopic ladder up against it, to get on the roof and I weigh 165.

The ladder is ok when on the road, but when home I like to prop my extension ladder against it to gain a better angle. It's not easy using the ladder provided when you have to carry stuff up there. Not only that, I'm about 165 and I don't care for the creaking that goes on when using that ladder. Check the screws that hold it often.

Yep like sambam said check all the screws,on my 2012 and my 2015 a bunch of them were loose..., I'm 225 and have been up there many times with no problems but like was said before I never did trust them ,I am very careful when I go up them,if I was 280 I would be really nervous,as far as the roof I have been using my ELECTRIC 1700PSI power washer for many, many years and it does a great job cleaning the roof fast and it is not powerful enough to hurt anything
