Well I have owned 3 Montana's a 2003, 2006, 2010 and traded it for a 2013 Heartland Landmark Full Body Paint (Terrible Mistake) All kinds of problems. The Landmark is suppose to be a step above the Montana but no way. I have a new Montana 3611rl Legacy Package ordered, with all options including the G Rated Goodyears. $86,000 MSRP and got it for a little over $57,000 then I had a great trade in value that we worked off of the lower price.
You can not go wrong with the Montana.

Quality? Well we just bought our 4th Montana last year after having a 2003, 2007, 2010 and finally our 2015 3610 model. We were very pleased with each one.

We have had a 002, 05' 10, and now have a 2015, which has had more issues than the previous three combined. Maybe we got a lemon or one of the first 15s off the line. Bet of luck with yours and happy travels.

Had 3 new Montana's 2000, 2005, and 2011. Obviously I like the Montana line and Keystone service. Sadly I will say something that is effecting all RV manufacturers I'm familiar with ... after 05 in my case I've noticed a decline in basic build quality. It seems advertising and promoting ones product has become so consumed by how much eye candy they can put on today's RVs that they have let basic build quality noticeably slide. Fit, finish, materials used. I can tell by looking at welds, the feel of how doors and drawers open and close, looking at seams and joints throughout, how many fasteners are completely missing say a floor beam. Perhaps is just the shear volume of units produced each day ... If the dealer won't come off list by 20% - 30% ... they're not wanting to move it very bad.

We had 2 Montana's 2004 and a new 2014 3402. Only issues I had with the 3402 was loose water fittings under the kitchen sink and the toilet that wouldn't hold water, all of which I fixed myself. I'm sure there were more little things I did and had to correct, but nothing that I would say that I was sorry for buying a Montana.
Like others have said, ALL rv's priced low and high will have some issues. We too have almost bought a Landmark before our 2014 3402. We were soooo close, but changed our mind at the very last minute. Montana's give you the "bang for your buck". Later on I found out the issues with the other brand and was happy I have the Montana.

This is our first Montana. Owned since April of 2012. We had a few issues which were covered under warranty-nothing I would consider more than an annoyance on a new vehicle. We kept a list and took it in after our first season with it to have everything addressed at the same time. Based on our current Montana, I would buy or seriously consider buying another. Ours is pretty well equipped, no generator and added the G614's after the purchase. We were just over $58,000 on an ordered unit.

get G614 tires and get rid of the toilet and replace it with a dometic 320 once the toilet starts leaking, which it will.
we like our 3402 (2013) and Montana re-did the closet doors so you won't have problems like we did--numerous times they fell apart.

Like all things, you can get a lemon, no matter what you buy. That said, we've had three Montana's now, and each one has been much better in quality than the one before. I'm not talking little things like door knobs, I'm talking serious things like insulation, water leaks, etc. This current 2014 3725 is by far the best one we've had yet. And it's also the first one that, in a whole year of use, did not have one single thing that required a visit to the shop for repair. Of course, I made a few minor adjustments to things, after it all "settled in" but over all very pleased with the 2014. Would definitely consider another Montana, IF we ever buy another one.

We previously owned a SOB, we traded that for a 5th wheel by the same manufacturer and in two years had one problem with a tire, nothing else other than adjusting the odd drawer catch. We purchased our new 2012 - 3402RL because the floor plan fit exactly what we were looking for and gave us much more storage room than our previous SOB.
After two years with this unit we are still happy with the interior design and and the eye candy of it's design, however it ends there, we have had far more problems than most, but less than some other owners of Montana's and certainly that of other comparably priced units.
My biggest complaint with the Montana is those problems known to exist for several years have not been addressed by Keystone in their new models but continue to be a problem, along with new problems associated with new designs and build methods.
The people who design these units are not RV owners or they would know certain build methods and short cuts are going to be a problem down the road, it is what you cannot see that matters, it is what you do see that impresses you into buying one. Sadly the "what you cannot see" is where the short cuts take place and they cheap out on material and build quality.
I will keep this unit now that I have fixed many things myself, I will fix what needs to be fixed but there is no way I would buy another Montana. A tour of the factory will allow you to see very minimally how they are constructed and unless you have some knowledge of RV manufacturing you will likely be impressed. Don't be, you sure do not see it all....
Oh I am not an unhappy camper, I just don't need to be "taken in" more than once to learn a lesson.

I am on my first Keystone product. Probably my only Keystone/Thor product. Why? Lack of Quality Customer Service. You can call Customer Service but all they can do is to tell you to contact your dealer.
The girls on the phone answer the same fone number for the entry level TT to the top of the line 5th wheels.
I have a window part broken on my '14 3150RL. "My Dealer" has been working on this since last summer. Have received the same wrong part 3 times.
As mentioned in a different thread, now the back cap is a option. Thor is slowly removing things that made the Montana Line the #1 seller for years. They will coast along on their past reputation and then come up with a new and "improved" Montana/not.
Years ago we had options, some brands made their own frames, quality was built in.
Back in the ole days we had the big 3 auto makers. They started building what the public did not want, quality dropped. A off shore company came here. Honda, Toyota, Datsun. We know how that turned out.
But back to the OP's question. In today's present market, a Montana is probably as good as it gets in the price point it is in.
