Slide Switches

How do the switches work that are supposed to control slide operation? I turned one off ( I think) because I didn't want that slide (bedroom) to open, but it opened anyway. Am I misunderstanding what the switches are for or am I using them wrong? Thanks...

On our 3402RL there are 4 slides but the bedroom slide is electric. So behind the level up door are only 3 switches. DS, ODS1, and ODS2. I have used the switches to turn off all but one slide before. In my control panel I have 2 slide control switches. The bedroom only works the bedroom slide. The room slide works the other 3 unless you have turned off one of the valve switches behind the level up door.

On my 2010 3400RL I have 4 hydraulic knobs., BS(bedroom slide) ODS (Entertainment Center Slide) AUX (kitchen Slide) and DS( Large Door Side Slide. Make sure the 'BS' slide hydraulic knob is fully in the off position. Mine did the same thing the other day and when I rechecked the knob position it had rotated a little. I reset to the off position and everything worked as intended. Hydraulic pressure may have moved the valve just enough to leak by. Tim

The hydraulic valve shutoffs are what you want to use. Mine were not labeled at purchase, so identified and marked myself.

If you are turning the knobs to isolate slides, make sure you turn them completely clockwise until they stop. It is not straight down, they will turn about an eighth of a turn past that to fully turn the slide off. As mentioned, they are only for the hydraulic slides.

I had a Lippert rep tell me once to start by turning the valve past open as far as it will go and then past off as far as it will go. I've done that ever since and most of the time it's worked.

Thanks everybody, that explains it since I only turned them to the down position, not until it stopped....
