Propane Tanks

I have a 2002 Montana 3255RL, and my question is with my two 30 lb propane tanks.
When I use the right tank until it is completely empty, then switch to the left tank, I am not getting any gas at all from the full left tank.
I tried installing a new regulator, but the problem is still there.

I can physically move the left tank to the right side and it works perfectly, so I know there is nothing wrong with the cylinder itself.
Has anyone ever had this problem?
Please let me know of any solutions.
Thank You.

yep, had exactly the same thing happen. The black pointer handle should be moved to point to the new (left) tank. I had to rotate it back and forth a few times and whatever it was cleared and the green indicator line popped into view. Ever after that the auto change over never worked again, had to manualy change it by moving the service valve (black) handle.. either that or the line that you screw into the tank on the left side is not seating far enough to depress the flowrater in the tank.

good luck on this i was very frustrated with it...

As per above, I'd try working the selector handle back and forth a few times. Does the indicator (red/green) seem to work properly, both to show "OK" and then to show "empty" (or not turned on?)

If you get it working OK in "manual" (you have to move the selector lever), you might want to use it that way.

If all else fails, take it to a Dealer (almost any one). If you have an extended warranty, it should be covered if you call the warranty folks first.
