How To Keep Your MONTANA Decal From Fadding

Does anyone know of a way to add luster to the MONTANA decal on the
front of the fifth wheel. Mine is starting to fade after only four years.
Is there some kind of silicone or has anyone used armor all or something
like that to make it shine again. Wax is not working anymore.
Any help would be appreciated.

Many people have documented that wax will actually cause some of the older decals to come off. I've used Aerospace 303 on all of mine so far and it keeps them looking good.

If you got 4 years out of them you have done better than a lot of people. A lot of camper manufacturers got a bunch of bad decals a few years ago and there isn't much you can do. If you got the good decals they last if you didn't they don't last.

Best way I know is to replace them. Our 2006 2955RL was looking pretty shabby, and since Keystone doesn't have the decals older than about six months, it seems, we had to have custom replacements made. Pricy, but they are much better quality and look good.

If Keystone has them in stock they will send them. The vendor does not keep them on hand for very long. A good graphic maker here at home told me the OEM graphics on my 06 3400 were of a quality that should last 5 to 7 years with proper care .They started to shrink and peel at year 5 and by year 7 were pretty much junk.

The Montana mountain scenes are common and a good graphic vendor should have some. The rest of the graphics are common. The price to replace will depend on the quality you desire.

best way is take em off and store them inside. I spent a week scraping sanding and buffing the front of mine and it looks dang good no way I'm putting new advertisement up there for montana.

Decals

Too late for my 2004 2955RL I've seen some of the decals on e-bay but I don't know how good they are.

Ours are almost 6 years old and look good as new with NO special care. Most of that is full timing in the Southeast too. Gets pretty hot!

Where do you get the 303 compound?

It is a liquid and can be found at most boat and RV dealers. Amazon also has it.

Ours are still hanging in there at seven years. They've faded slightly and have cracks, but aren't peeling (yet!). I've a gallon of Reflective Vinyl Off on my Amazon Wish List for when they do, and we'll go naked like oceandansar did. Better to reflect heat anyway.
