We're finally here

We have made it to the MOC. We have owned a Montana for 9 months after drooling over them for 2 years. We love our 2002 2880RL and have so much fun towing it with our 2002 F250. I've had so much fun tricking out the Ford and Vicky approves. We are looking at May of 2006 to retire from the Navy...when we'll get more chances to see this wonderful country that I have been so proud to defend for the last 22 years. Look forward to many MOC friends. See you on the road. Cooksters

Welcome aboard, cooksters! Like the others, I'd like to thank you for your service. I put in almost 9 years in the Navy, myself, but that was long ago. Hope to see you on the road or at a rally.

Cooksters,

A big hearty warm welcome to you both. This is a fantastic forum and we're so glad to have you join us. We'll be looking forward to your future postings.

I'd also like to extend our thanks for your dedication to our Wonderful Country and defending us all.

We met a few members individually from MOC and a bunch at the Rally in September so here's hoping we meet you in the near future.

Patty

Patty,
I can see from your reply that you are in Glacier Nat Park. Did you take your Montana there and if so where do you recommend to take the 5th wheel. What camp grounds have the best that us 5th wheelers would need. We have a 30 footer, and want to make reservations for this huge trip we are planning for when I retire from the Navy next spring. Any help that you could provide would be appreciated. Love that picture.
Thanks
Steve & Vicky

Welcome Cooksters
Like others I appreciate your service. I am an Army brat and my daughter was in the Navy for 6 years. Two of my cousins' sons are now serving, one Marine and one Navy. The Marine has been in Iraq several times but is stateside now. We are a close big family so I worry about them as if they were my own. Our Navy guy is on a Nuclear Sub and just made Nuclear Engineer or something like that. We are very proud of them and of you.
Have fun here on the MOC (there are a lot of vets here) and post whenever you get the urge.

cooksters,

Welcome aboard Swabby for an old Jarhead. I know how you feel. I retired in 86 with 20 years but messed up and became a US GOV "Cilly Vilian" so we have till July 2009 when we will go full time. Enjoy and be safe on the roads.

First, let me add my thank you for your service to our country - so many people now don't realize that without the service and dedication of people like you, this great country wouldn't remain free. And second, a big welcome to the Forum. The folks here are friendly and helpful and I am sure you will enjoy the exchange of ideas.

H.John Kohl,
Thanks Devil Dog, I'm actualy a Seabee, have not done too much swabbing. My latest Marine support mission was at Camp Pendleton. I lead a platoon of Seabees there during the 9/11 attacks on our great Nation. We were there in support of construction. We built 2 ISMT's at both area 42 and 51, and rebuilt the pop-up targets course and grenade house at the Mount Mac course at combat town.
My Seabees had an eye opening experience in the tightness of a marine squad and fire team organization, and the small unit leadership ability of a corporal. I hope that they learned something from them.
My stepson did a tour as in a tracks unit there making sergeant in four years. He seperated to attend college. He grads this summer with his BA...not bad for a kid that graduated high school only by the skin of his teeth. The Corps was great for him.
Thanks for your service leather neck.
Senior Chief
