Peeling graphics

My 2008 Montana 2980 is fast losing the graphics on the right side and front. What options are out there?

Captain 1. I have a 2010 with peeling graphics. I contacted Owners Relations @ 866 425 4369. I spoke with Alisha Howton. She sent me a diagram of the graphics on my trailer and I ID the peeling ones and returned it along with photos of the peeling graphics.
I am waiting for my decals as my claim has been approved.
Have your trailer vin # ready as they will want that to verify your unit.
Hope this helps

The older your RV is, the less likely you will be able to get the graphics, that are on your RV. Burlington Graphics no long makes the graphics for the Montana's. I did order a Front Cap Decal before Burlington stopped making them. It was the first one to go. Then last year they started peeling on the side. So I contacted Keystone and was told that graphics for the older models were no longer being made by either Burlington or Keystone. Keystone does not even have any in stock. They will send you a diagram of the current graphics, that are available. This way you can pick the ones that match the current ones as close a possible. They will not be perfect, so you will get a ghost image. The graphics are covered under warranty for so many years, I think 3 years. Then you have to go through the hoops to get replacements.

brooksider,
I needed info in regard to the 2010 models and I guess your post may have answered my question. I have a 04 Montana and like many others I have the usual decal/ graphic problems. I have received decals in the past no charge and they have lasted about 3 years. I have now spoke with folks at Keystone and have received from them a diagram of a Montana showing the part number of each decal. The diagram actually features the 2005-2006 models. Using the info provided by Keystone I have checked with 3 dealers to find the cost of the "Montana and Mountain" graphic for the front cap. They are available, $50.16 for the Montana and $417.00 for the Mountain... wow. My conversation with one dealer indicated the decals would be much cheaper for the 2010 model. That was going to be my question, how are they holding up.....but I guess your post answers that.

Welcome to the club. I have a 2006, and couldn't get any satisfaction from Montana, so I went to a graphics shop and they made me some from scratch. It wasn't a full set, and it cost $900.00 (OUCH!) That may be your only recourse, since the Burlington decals aren't available anymore.

Has anyone out there attempted to get a price on having someone paint the graphics on? Even if painted graphics were $2,000 it would be cheaper and better than replacing decals every 3 or 4 years.

Understand that keystone never made any Graphics they are all and still are vendor provided. We had the 06 3400 and by 2012 there was not a complete set of graphics available from the vendor, Burlington graphics or the Keystone service center. The service center would send whatever they had in stock which was not much. IMO Keystone has always been fair in replacing graphics . My option on the 2006 3400 was to replace the graphics with a year that best matched and minimized the shadow effect. I believe that was the 2010 or 2011 model year. I have seen the results of matching the graphics with a year that best matched and it looked good. We did not exercise that option and went with the full body paint of the 2013 Big Sky. My Jury is still out after one year on if that was a good idea or not.

Keep the graphics out of the sun constantly. Metal awning or garage is a super investment for anyone that does not stay in the road long/full time. Protects the roof too!

You are right about that Greg. There couple of Montana's several years old under cover at our winter campground and they look like new.

Our '07 has been used on about 30-35 nights per year. Otherwise it is in covered (not enclosed) storage. The front graphics just started to curl some this year. Rear "Montana" also has started some curl. Side graphics still look great. And the front just happens to be the only part that gets sun a couple hours before sunset and the rear a couple hours just after sunrise.

Here is one member who had his Montana painted (including graphics). You can read about it here: http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53414

Thanks for the heads up CarlnSusan, looked at previous post of the member having his painted on in Mexico. That really looks GOOD! We have a complete replacement set of decals but hate to put them on if they are just going to peel off again.

I called a shop in Phoenix, AZ and one in San Bernanadino, CA. Cost for designing graphics guaranteed 5 to 7 years (color determined the warranty time) was in the $2200-$2500 range depending on complexity.
