3150 Bedroom Slide Leak

Our 2010 3150RL has developed a bedroom slide leak. We have been in rain previously but not so much rain and have not had the slide leak.

The carpet on each side of the bed under the night shelf and at the side of the bed is getting wet. We have had three days of a lot of rain here in Seward, AK. I know that can be a hint to get back to the desert southwest.

I have checked out the seals and I do not see how the leak is happening. An ideas would be appreciated.

Joe
I have tried different side leveling positions also.

You may have already thought of this but if you have a level with you and can reach the top of the slide, place it on the slide to be sure that it's pitching outboard. If it isn't, the slide may not be adjusted correctly or fully extended. Also look at the gutters and drip spouts to be sure they are not clogged or damaged. Did you check for debris between the slide and the seals? It doesn't take much. As an emergency temporary fix, put a tarp over the slide and secure it there until you are ready to move the unit. May be ugly but dry is a good thing.
Hope you get this resolved. Please keep us posted.

As a follow up to my water leak problem in the bedroom slide. I think I found the problem with a lot of searching and researching for it.
There is a bottom trim strip for the lack of the proper name for it at the bottom of the slide that is about 4" wide. This strip is caulked along the top of it with a very thin line of silicone caulk.
This caulk had some very small gaps in in along the way. I think the strip may also have moved slightly during travel.
I removed the old silicone caulk and applied new white silicone caulk.
We have had a couple of rains since and there is not a leak.
The water must have came in along the top of this strip and migrated along the top of the floor and carpet at the head of the bed.
This is a good area to really check from time to time.
