TV Amplifier

Has anyone added the Winegard Wingman Batwing upgrade to their TV antenna. If so, would you recommend it.

It will help with directional reception. The problem I have is the lack of room on the roof. Our front AC and the antenna extension do not fit in the same space.

Good luck.

It helps when you are in the fringe areas. You may not notice a difference when you are close in the signal source. As mentioned it is directional.

Thanks so much for all the info. Sounds like a good investment if it fits. We hadn't considered the A/C.

I installed one but was already at a site where we couldn't test it, we already had all sorts of stations, at least enough.

However friends that I told about went and got one. They were in a fringe area and they were getting nothing. After installing the extra batty wing thing they said they were getting about 20 channels. So second hand it does work

John,
I've heard that you can cut off the front director and it will fit. (Maybe it was reflector) any how, the front part of the antenna with little or no loss in functionality.

Just added one with my front air. I cut off The small front director.
It fit fine that way. The total installation time including cutting, about seven minutes.
