Bought our 2001 Montana 3295RK and headed south from Oregon in Dec '03 for the winter. Had a very wonderful trip through Calif and AZ. All went well, as we followed our checklist at each stop. Only one catastrophic experience that we didn't expect---hitting a dip after passing through an intersection caused the rear to bounce and---yes, almost every overhead cabinet opened which we discovered at our next destination. Took over 2 hours to clean out the broken glass from between the slides before we could put them out! Poor Simon-cat had to wait in the truck till we got it all vaccumed. Now, we are bungied and use plastic! Enjoyed our 4 month travels and look forward to more this next winter.

Fred & Carolyn,
Welcome to the MOC. Thanks for taking the time to share with us. Sorry to here about your open door incident. We all seem to learn from our own experience, but the nice thing about this forum is we can also learn from other's expeeriences. Be sure to check out the Rally information. Hope to meet up with you somewhere down the road.

Welcome from another new Oregon Montana owner. We are headed to Reedsport to Umpqua Lighthouse for Labor Day weekend. We have been around there but never stayed there before. We are looking forward to it.
