Wireless Tire Pressure Monitor
I have a tire air pressure monitor that came with my 2008 GMC truck, but I'm thinking about getting a wireless one for my 3150RL 5th wheel trailer tires. Anyone have any suggestions/recommendations on what system might work best, and what is the approximate cost?
I appreciate your opinions.
Thank you.
David

It depends on what you want to spend. For my money, the Pressure Pro System is the best. I may be biased because that's what I have and it's saved me a couple times since its purchase a year ago.
There are cheaper types available, but you get what you pay for.

I have a TST system. The best thing to do is a search for TPMS. Look at all the info, what you get, and don't get. I went with the TST because it had hard wire power or cig lighter power, two antennas and different mounts. also can monitor temp of tires.

I have used Pressure Pro in the past and now use the TST because of the above and I prefer the display of the TST better.
The best advise is to research and then make your choice.

I went with the PressurePro because their made in the USA where as most others are made in China and I've haven't had great experience with anything made in China. Example Mission tires. Customer service is great for the PressurePro

TST for us. I liked the size of the moniter. To each his own so do your research. Both systems mentioned will do a good job.

On the TST system where it monitors temperature, what is a safe temperture for tires to run at? Does the system have preset settings to notify you if the tire is getting too hot? I ordered the TST system from American RVer 3 weeks ago and still waiting for delivery. Said they were changing some things and it would be new design and must be having problems getting it out.

WOW, I don't know how this post happened from my original post at noon time. But since it's here again, When I got my system it was a group purchase and they were great to deal with.

I wonder where Hawkshead out of Canada is made? They are less expensive than Pressure Pro and TST and does provide temps. This one is on my wishlist. The display monitor is smallish, but I like it since I have so much crap on my dash already.

Art, thank you for the information about the Hawkshead tire pressure monitor system. I did some checking and their website is WWW.Hawkshead.Ca. Their offices are in Abbotsford, Britsh Columbia and Sumas, Washington. Abbotsford and Sumas are just across the border from each other. I plan on calling the Abbotsford location tomorrow. It appears the price is around $225.00US.
Regards,
David
