January 2008 get together

I am posting this for Countryfolks, Mary Shorb. (Skip has their computer tied up in a project for someone else, and she is reluctant to mess with it, cannot say I blame her! )

Mary has kindly scheduled a meal for us for January!

THANK YOU MARY!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, she reserved a spot for us at the 10th Street, McAllen, Golden Corral. Meet January 17th at 2 PM at the Golden Corral.

SEE YA THERE!

P.S. On edit, it would be helpful if you would indicate attendance, name and number attending, please. Thanks

On edit: Well we did hope, but it looks like we won't be able to make it in time. Have good time, look forward to seeing you all in February.

You returning Winter Texans have to give this rookie some help. Was in McAllen today and couldn't find the Golden Corral on 10th Street. I did accidentally find the one on E Jackson Ave and I find phone book doesn't list one for 10th St, but does for one on
1100 E. Expressway 83. Would someone give me directions. Thanks.

The Golden Corral we are going to is NORTH of 83 on 10th, WAYYYY North, all the way to Nolana.

Just past and NORTH of Nolana, bout 1/2 block, is the GC, on the right side.

There is a Barnes & Noble bookstore on the other side of the street, at the corner.

Address: 4310 NORTH TENTH STREET, McAllen
Phone: (956)630-0618

Hope that helps.

I found a map on the Golden Corral page.

I'll be there if the dental work I'm having done in Mexico tomorrow isn't too intricate and painful. I'll have to leave the kids home since they frown on birds in restaurants (go figure). I just got moved into the new RV park this afternoon (Snow To Sun), so the drive will be a little further than when I was at Palm Shadows in Donna, but not a big deal. So, barring any dental complications, count Connorsmom in:-)

Thanks Carol. This is so funny. We went to the IMAS and took Nolana back to 10th and went South. We were sooooo close. See ya all Thursday.

Dave,

The gravel spitting out of your back tires could have hit the building from where you made your turn!

Well, I'm still not positive I'll make it tomorrow. I spent 4 hours in the dentist chair today, and not really thrilled at this point. I had to have 7 teeth filed down for a fixed bridge, and my teeth were already extremely sensitive to begin with. So...I'm still not counting myself out....but not promising anything.
