has anyone added a window?
hi, has anyone added a window to the rear wall of the new large bedroom slide??? we just got our new 3400RL, with the idea of removing the little closet in the bedroom slide and adding a window to the rear wall of the slide to match the window on the opposite wall. any ever tried this?
so far got the mini-closet out, (that was easy) and have figured out how to re-do the facia around the bedroom slide. Makes a nice large area around the bed, i'm a little claustrophobic, which is one of the reasons we got rid of the 02 model 3670.

We were told a story about the reason that some of the new models have a window high up on the sidewalls of the Montana. Supposeably, a hole got punched through the wall of a unit that was almost finished. To fix it without totaling the unit, someone came up with an idea to put a window there. They liked it and started adding the window to other units. All this just to say, that apparently it can be done.

Be careful where you cut. When we talked to Jeff Rank about changing the security spot lights, he said that we cannot make those holes any larger then they already are. I don't know if that is because they are high up or if it would affect the structural integrity.
That being said, it sounds like that is a normal place for Montana to install a window....

You should be able to see the structures when the temps are right inside and out. The dew clings to the walls where there are no studs.Good luck.

hi all, got a look see and putting in the window will require a bit more engineering than it seems wore it ... but am still looking into all possibilities. Got the Saphire interior removed from the bedroom and have redone the headboard in a Southwestern motiff. Chief cook is currently working of draps of same material for slide and main window in bedroom. We removed that stupid wooden key holder thing around the window and facia around slide. minus 38 pounds plus the 31 pound cupboard = 69 pounds removed.
