"ANOTHER" SAGGING FLOOR
It seems that all my threads start out with "Another" as my problem is one I have read about before on this forum.
Checking out the unit for a short trip and noticed a soft or spongey area in the dinning room area.It is only evident when the slide is out.
I know I have read threads on this same problem and could not find any through a search. Would appreciate any input on what has been done to resolve or fix this.
Seems to me that someone suggested that they slid a 1/2" sheet of plywood under the carpet.
Would appreciate any input on this.
Thanks,
Al Olson aka/Kountry Traveler

We have a soft floor in one slide where the table is sitting. However our unit is older than most people’s on this forum. I can’t find any evidence of water leaking so I don’t worry about it very much. Just simply don’t push my luck and stay off of that area as much as I can. Is your problem area on the slide itself?

We found our 08 Montana dining floor was soft. The dealer added a 3/8" plywood floor under the carpet. Excellent! It was still in warranty at that time. We don't notice the height difference. Make sure you use Real Plywood & not the cheap stuff that's on the floor now!

Bill, the spongey area in our unit is the main slide between the dinning room table and sofa. It almost feels like you could step through the floor when the slide is out but when it's in, it is not noticeable. The feedback from Roy about the plywood sounds like a good fix. I may try that.
My other half said I should not worry about it, but about the time we are 1000 miles from home "Murphy's Law" will take over and lead to the slide sticking or something else.
