Factory Pickup
Has anyone picked up their new Montana from the factory? Just wondering if the new one is built on time but delayed on delivery because of the holidays.

Yes, there have been others who picked up their rig at the factory. I'm surprised no one has responded to this yet, but be patient and check back later (or Subscribe to this topic to get an email when someone has responded).
Hopefully someone will post their story soon.

I have never heard of anyone picking up a unit directly from the factory. I assume you mean you have purchased one through a dealer snd want to pick it up instead of waiting for transport.
I would call keystone and ask the question

I believe that all deliveries have to be through a dealer. There is a "quality check" at the factory, but the actual delivery checklist is supposed to be done by the dealer. I know we could not even pick our rig at the dealer until a day or two after factory delivery, since the dealer insisted, their quality control checklist had to be performed before I could take delivery. I would take that delay in a heartbeat since I take that as a sign of a good dealer.

What I was told at the factory, they do not sell to the public and and use a delivery company to deliver the units to the dealer.
So, I would say no.

I agree with what has been posted. When we order our new TT we had to take delivery from the dealer. They did a great job helping us with the pre-delivery checklist. It really helps to have a great dealer.

I have transported rv's for Classic Transport from Goshen to dealerships for years. You would not be able to complete the purchase from the dealer and then go down to pick the rig up. Insurance would not cover it and if you had an accident or their was a problem with the rig it would be your responsibility not Keystone or the dealer. Transport drivers have a week long course before they can start transporting. We also have insurance that covers the delivery. We also take professional drivers safety courses. The dealer inspects the rv before the transporter even unhooks. The dealer could refuse a delivery even by you and you would be responsible for returning the rv to Goshen.
