Factory Installed Fireplace
Do any of you have the remote for the factory fireplace. If so, where did you get it. Did it come with your unit.

I have the factory installed fireplace in my 2011 3400rl and it did not come with a remote. Or at least my didn't.

Our 2010 didn't come with a fireplace remote either, kind of strange seeing most everything else in the unit is operated by remote!!!

I have a remote for my 2010 3400RL. I just sit back in my recliner and say "Honey, turn on the fireplace." I don't say it much because my lip is still swollen.

We have the 2008 Montana Mountaineer 324RLQ, and ours DID come with a remote.

My 2011 3150RL did not come with a remote; however, when I ordered it, I did not order the fireplace.....it was installed by the factory by mistake. I got to keep it FREE!!!! I guess I won't complain about not having the remote. I have sure used that fireplace on some recent cool mornings.

We have an 08 Montana...no remote. Dealer says too many problems...people would come to their trailer & find the fireplace on!
Seems somebody's TV remote next door turned it on while they were gone.
So... dealer was not giving them to the owners???

We have a remote in our 2009 3605RL and haven't had any problems with neighbor remotes.

I got shafted out of my TV lift remote. Dealer said it's not included which is BS.

My 2011 didn't either, but I'm going to install a remote control AC power outlet switch.
I tried to attach a link, but it didn't work.

As I understand it the fireplaces that are installed from the factory can use a plug in remote control module. I would contact the manufacturer, which I believe is Dimplex, and talk with them about it. I know they just issued a mass recall on these modules so you might be able to get one from them for "cheap" or nothing. Their phone number is 1-888-346-7539. Keep us posted and let us know what you find out.

Not sure how not giving out the remotes would prevent someone next door from operating the unit. Ours came with a remote. We're not had any trouble with the unit.
