You would think by now....

Ok, I have been full timing for workin' on four years. We have the 340 RLQ with the U kitchen. When the unit is buttoned up, you can only get to half the double wide refrigerator. This is not great if you decide to make a lunch while traveling.

My 2008 unit is prior to the slide control panel, so for making an individual slide to move independently of the others, you have to go into the front bay and close the valves to the other three slides.

You would think by now I would have figured it out that after you pull in the slides for the trip, just close those other three valves. Then you can open and close the kitchen slide when you stop for lunch. Well, I finally did.

Don't you hate when something as obvious as that suddenly jumps up and hits you in the head?

By the way, we were glad to hear that you had no damage occur in Missoula. That is a sick and helpless feeling when you see your rig going where it isn't supposed to go. Especially after you release the jaws.

I'm still stuck with the getting to only half the fridge. Can't you just put all the lunch stuff in that half? But then you need a place to sit, huh?

Good for you Stiles. Who says old dogs can't learn new tricks! Maybe there's hope for me yet!

Yes, you can do that, Art. But invariably something is forgotten or one decides something else is desired and Murphy's Law puts it on the inaccessible side. Also Items in the kitchen cabinets become available when the kitchen slide is open, things that would not be in the refrigerator.

Stiles,

We have the individual controls on the side and we have found that when putting out just one slide, like the kitchen slide, we sometimes get a small amount of movement of one or more other slides. This happened just today. I open all the valves for Kat to snug all four up before we hit the road. Just an FYI, your mileage may differ.

And then you get to scratch your head trying to figure out why the other slides won't open when you get to your campground.
