Fixed it self

Several months ago we plulled the Mountaineer on to our river lot and had nothing but problems with the pump. It leaked ATF all over everything and it shorted out the batteries. We are now getting ready to head South and I was prepared for trouble. I installed a new battery and watched closely as Sallie moved the slides in. It must have been a miracle because there was no ATF leak and even the big slide went all the way in the first time. It hasn't done that for several years. When we got it home I watched for ATF again while the slides were run out and once again they worked perfectly. Someone must have told it that we have been shopping for a replacement because it fixed itself. It must like it here.

I actually had the same thing happen. I noticed some oily residue under the kitchen slide 2 years ago and the slide oil tank was down about 1/2 inch. So I was prepared to fix something in the spring. But the next year and until today it is still doing fine with no leak and the tank is at the same level!!!
I guess Montana has a new 'self fixing slide' installed these days!

This pump leaking thing has been an on going battle. We are still shopping. We are heading South soon and the title will be with us.
