2006 Mountaineer TV Coax Wiring Diagram
I know I have seen this but now I can't locate it....does anyone have the TV Coax Wiring Diagram for a Montana Mountaineer...mine is a 2006 5th wheel. I am trying to figure out how I can now put the TV converter box in and perhaps use a switch box when hooking to cable TV at RV Park....this would be easier than switching the coax every time I go from cable to antenna. Also, has anyone figured out where to locate the converter box so you don't have to have the cabinet doors open all of the time to switch channels??
Thanks in Advance!

Hi IU,
About the schematic. There is one, but I don't know how to find it.
About the remote - I am not sure you have the same setup as I did but I had a similar problem with the cabinet doors blocking the remote signal.
I found that the receiver "eye" on the box (audio and converter) was positioned right where the solid framing of the entertainment cabinetry was located. I unscrewed the base that everything sat on and moved the whole thing to the left so that it the "eyes" of these units were positioned in front of the glass part of the cabinetry doors and now my remotes could be "seen". That solved my problem, but this only works if you have glass inserts for the cabinet doors.
I hope this helps.

Does the TV not have multiple inputs? Ours has two on the back, and one on the left side facing the entertainment center. Merely bring the cable in, use a splitter for the bedroom TV, and take the cable to one of the TV inputs. Take the digital converter to a second input. Then, you just have to change the inputs on the TV remote to change from local to cable.
Seems I have seen a converter that changes a IR remote to UHF. Like this: http://www.criscros.net/Lrrx_ufh.htm

Thanks for all of the input!! The schematic sent was the one I was looking for and the other suggestions I will try next week when we are out. I may have to switch out my cabinet doors for ones with glass inserts as mine are all wood...that way the remote can send its signal thru the glass as suggested.
Thanks again!
