We have the standard Montana issue King in our late 2006 3400RL. Wouldn't have anything else. But had to add the foam topper to keep my back from acting up. The topper is a must. Standard King sized foam topper sold by Camping World. The nice part about the King sized bed is you get to commute during both the day and night. :-) I'm 6'3" and roll around a bit during the night. I don't wake the DW very often. Have a CA King in the Stick House which is longer but not wider. The King sized bed in the Montana is as long as it can be due to the slide but it is almost not long enough for a 6'3" person. The rounded corners really help. Haven't had anything stick to the mirror yet...... Now if we could just keep the mirrored sliding doors in the bedroom from moving while traveling we would be even happier.

Some have cut the bed platform down and put in a queen mattress.

Wife sez our king bed mattress measures 78 inches long and 73 inches wide. Too cold out there to go measure now.

Regarding the question from Case del Sol: We travel with two cats. In our first Montana, we had a booth-type dining table. We took the door off one bench and put the litter box in there. As the cats got older and too arthritic to bend into that space, we removed the bench cushion and board except during meals.
I don't know about your layout, but in our new 3000 RK, we put the litter box in the washer-dryer closet just inside the entry door--we don't have a washer-dryer. We prop the door open so they can get in there.
We take out cats out on leashes when in camp.
Hope this gives you some ideas.

Hey all you cat people...we are going to start taking the cats with us on short trips to see how they do before we try "fulltiming" next year. Any hints you can give me? We are thinking of getting some kind of outside enclosure so they will have more room to roam when we get to the CG. Also, any help with the "toilet" arrangements would be appreciated. We have a 2955RL so it is going to have to be creative for the litter box. Thanks...Joanie

Take a look at www.kittywalk.com . We have a 6ft long single story, straight, our cat loves it. Many designs available here, BEWARE: Pricey....

When driving, BooBoo rides in the back seat with Cody. We have to be careful that he doesn't sneak out at stops, or stand on the door lock button (resulting in a feel-dumb call to OnStar).
In camp, we just let him out. He stays close by and comes home to the Monty frequently. We know that this isn't strictly kosher, so we have some angst, but he loves it and is very fit. He also goes for walks with us, unleashed. He follows along, even down to the beach! We keep his litter box in the closet by the front door (no washer/dryer) with the door propped open. I'm still trying to figure out some rocket science for a door stay. Any rocket scientists here are welcome to suggest something.
