12V electrical problem
We have a 2010 Montana mod. 3075RL that has developed a 12Volt power loss that I think I'm just going to have to trace, but here goes. On the line that comes out of the 12V fuse box that's marked kitchen are the interior lights that come on when the door is opened, a single bulb 12V light that is over the counter, the 12V supply to the refrigerator, the single light & refrigerator are in the slide, The 15amp fuse is good, & the lights come on when the door is opened, the single light & refrigerator are without 12V power. Been trying to follow the wires but that has been difficult.

If you know for a fact that all those are from the same fuse, then there must be a break in the circuit somewhere, either a broken wire or a connection has come loose. Are all the things not working located in the kitchen slide?

Thanks for the response. Yes all the things not working are in the kitchen slide. I think the next step is to locate where the 12V supply wire enters the slide, work from there. I called Montana, & no wire diagrams are available for the 2010s' although they will be available for the 16s'. I'm hoping I can find a plug or connection that came undone under the slide where the wires seem to be.

Just a side note. This problem came up the day before we were leaving on a 2 week trip. Don't know if everyone is aware, but even though the units are plugged into shore power, the refrigerator still needs a 12V power supple to operate. As temp. fix I ran a wire, with a 5 amp fuse direct from the battery to the refrigerator "brain" & off we went.

I would begin looking where the wire harness connects from the slide to the main frame. That flexing would be a likely location for the problem. Don't know if there is a junction box for that or not. Tracing wires thru walls and other blocked off areas is not fun.
Never assume anything about the wiring though. When new, our refrigerator would work randomly on shore power. Very long story, but in the end it turned out the fridge and living room outlets were wired to the ceiling fan switch. Ceiling fan on, worked. Ceiling fan off, did not work. The dealer tried to get a wiring diagram from Keystone at the time. And even they could not get one.

An old trick is to use a sharp needle connected to one lead of your meter to pierce the insulation of a wire to see if power is present. You should apply liquid tape to the probed spot as you move along. On our kitchen slide, power comes in at back bottom, goes behind trim behind sofa, into drawer under fridge. Good hunting. John

Thanks for the suggestions, & I will try. I also thought my next move was checking where the power comes into the slide, but that means on my back on the driveway, just have not gotten to it yet. I'll post what if anything I find.

Hi
I would check all 12V fuses and make sure you don’t have separate fuses for the door light and the rest of the kitchen.

Thanks, my fuse panel has a red light that goes on above a blown fuse. Just to be sure I pulled them all & checked each one with a meter.

Trace the wire bundle that comes from the slide to trailer to locate the junction box or splice. Our trailer was spliced and taped. the snow and ice did it's damage last fall to both rear slides.

Got under it this AM & found the 12V supply wire into the slide had a splice that had come apart. Sealed the new splice with liquid electrical tape, & I'll check the other slides. Problem solved Thanks to Travelin & all who responded.
