Cable TV plugs

Have any of you added additional cable plugs to the wall of your monty? When we go south we take the Dish system with us. No problem setting up satalite in the living room but the way the cables are run we can not use it in the bedroom, so I was thinking where the second cable comes out of the dish reciever I would tap another cable outlet in the wall going outside and then add one to the bedroom outside wall and just string a second cable enabeling us to have satalite in the bedroom.

I added a cable outlet just below the existing. My TV is right inside so I had a way to get to the wall to drill a hole for mounting. Used a coax plate I got at CW with a snap lid on it. Hooked up to the existing cable that was there from the original installation that was routed up to the bed room.

We used the antenna lead from the front bedroom and back fed the TV2 signal.

We carry two receivers and set up the second receiver in the bedroom with a dedicated line

Mine only had a single coax input for cable/sat. So I added a second one for the sat and use the original for park cable.
Easy on mine as the area I needed it was next to an outside wall with a small cavity between the TV cabinet and the external wall. I just removed an internal panel and could see the outer wall. Drilled a hole and installed an extenal coax connector plate with a plastic cover (similar to the original) and ran the cable to the sat box.
Don't see any reason you can't do what you describe. Just remember to remove the cable before you drive off!!!

Let me see if I understand one of these options. I would like to use a park's sat TV for the TV in the bedroom. I don't want to drill / install anything other than a coax from the park pedestal to the rig. Is that an option and where are the connections. Have a sat on the roof for the living room TV.

Why can't you use your own sat for the bedroom unless you only have a single receiver. If you have a dual receiver you can send the signal back to the bedroom TV. I don't have mine on the roof so my sat signal comes in the rig on the usual connection on the side of the trailer where it goes into the sat receiver. I have a TV 2 connection on my receiver where the signal comes out of the receiver and I send it back to the bedroom TV. Just remember to shut off the little green light in the bedroom closet. This way your over the air TV antenna still works, just have to turn on the green light and if you want to use cable just have to replace the cables coming into the rig and going to the bedroom TV with the 1 ft jumper cable. Sorry my schematic is a little rough lol lol -----now this way only works if you have a dual receiver so if you have a carry out or your service it thru Satellite To Go that uses a 211 receiver it won't work.

Could poss do as you are saying, but I think it would be a hassle going back and switching the cables every time one wanted to watch the local programing and then back for Sat TV, or am I looking at this wrong??

Not too bad.. to watch over the air broadcast I turn off the sat receiver and turn on the green light in the closet. To switch back the reverse. The only hassle is when I move to a park that has cable TV. There I have to unplug the 2 cables hooked to the plate coming into the rig and connect up a 1 foot jumper wire the way it came from the factory. Got to be sure to label the 2 cables so you hook them back up the same. When over the air my TV's keep the over the air channel memory cause sat is on channel 3 for the main and 116 for the bedroom TV. I guess the biggest hassle is getting up to go to the bedroom closet to turn the green light on or off. I just didn't want to have to do a lot of rewiring in the trailer.

When I had my 06 3400rl I drill a small hole under the bedroom and fished a coax behind the dresser to the Direct tv reciever. I put a residential cable outlet and plate on the hole I drilled under the bedroom overhang and just connected the coax from the dish. Stayed high and dry underneath the overhang.
