Speaker Wires/hook up to new TV/Help
Has anybody been able to hook up those speaker wires that came off the old TV/DVD. The speaker wires were the old ones without ends. Is there a way you can put ends on them. Don't want to get another Quest DVD. We got the Sony DVD and Vizio TV. They are connected with the HDMI cable. Would love to hook up all of those speakers to our new TV. Would appreciate any Help. I know some of you have replaced their old TV's too. Thanks for your input.

I would think you could find ends to put on the wires at Radio Shack. I tried to hook up some older JVC speakers to a Vizio set I have and they would not work. I don't know if the OHMs don't match or the speakers need more power.

Don, how did you run the Bose speaker wire system from the slide to the rear speakers. I am just stumped on how to do this as I have the best bose system out but no clue as to how to run them mandatory wires from Bose. My daughter is enjoying the system a lot......lol

Ronnely,
All the TVs I have hooked up in the last 20+ years just have a low power audio out set of RCA jacks.
These do not have enough power to run any size speakers other than MP3 type. You will need an amplifier of some sort.
Possibly a car stereo shop could set you up with one that runs off 12 volts, then you could go thumping down the hyway.

I threw away the Q and replaced it with a Sony surround sound. I had the connectors for the Sony and solderd the original wires and now I have a system that works great. It did take some testing to label the wires correctly but woth the effort.
