Hand Rail or Handle on Stairs to Bedroom
We have a 2010 324RLQ and wish to install a vertical handle or hand-rail on the pantry wall by the steps. We have the Hickory interior and would prefer one that matches, but would take other design/color. If anyone has done this or knows where we should look to find this addition/improvement please advise.

Here are a couple of links with information re handrails. The Search function seems to be working better. I wonder why.

I installed one, it is a satin Brass about 8 inches long. I bought it at home depot. When I installed it, I drilled through into the closet on my 3400 and used a piece of Quarter inch hardwood as a backing plate and put nuts on the machine screws. It made it very solid. I would not trust trying to screw into the stud. Make your backing plate 4 inches wide.

We also installed a hand-rail on the hall wall of our 3400...also bought it at HD. It appears to be a very close match to the sink hardware in our unit. We did attach it to the studs and it has held up well. I would not recommend doing pull ups on it, but it works to give additional support going up or down stairs.

Our 3665RE has a hickory hand rail by the suicide step as you exit. I had our RV dealer order a replacement and screwed it into the edge of the cabinets as you go up stairs. Had the DW show me the perfect height for her and then zip it was up. It's not even mentioned when we have folks over and they use the bathroom because it's an exact match for the one across the room and so they think it's original, and in some ways it is.

Hi
We purchased the same handle that is by the door. We put one on the wall next to the steps on the right at a location that was easy to use it when you lift your foot to the first step. The second on the wall on the left side in a location that is ease to use after you have stepped up on the first step. We find them to be very handy.

Thanks to all for the information, the wood handles in Phil P's photo looks great and the stairs in the 3665RE appear to be similar to ours in the 324RLQ. We will check out links posted by Carl n Susan, and we will also look at Home Depot for one that might work. Garry
