My original idea was to have them installed by LonnieB in Texico, NM. I was originally leaving here in late March, but have to leave by the 14th of this month so am really concerned about the unpredictability of the weather near Clovis, NM.
Phil, your caution about the weather around here is dead on. We still have alot of snow on the ground from the last two storms, supposed to get more tonight, and another one on the way for Thursday.

If you don't feel comfortable with Sam's working on your rig (I don't but I am biased), you should call around for prices. Some tire shops charge extra (sometimes $30 to $40 per tire) for mounting and balancing tires they didn't sell.

As far as not being able to make it here for the installation, don't give it another thought. I would have enjoyed meeting you guys, but I understand your situation.

Take care.

Lonnie, I would rather come there but you seem to understand my predicament. I do appreciate ALL the help you offered and advice you gave. You are truly a valuable member of the MOC, and, I suspect, a very nice guy. I do hope to get thru there someday and will spring for lunch. Thanks again......

We just put 5 new G614's on our rig in Savannah, GA at Wingfoot Commercial Tire. The cost for the tires ($247 ea), mounting, balancing, metal stems and tax was $1,509.74. They recommended 105 psi, but the inflation chart shows less. As Bob says, it's easier to let it out that it is to put it in. The manager of the tire shop kept the Towmax tires and said if he is able to sell them, he'll send us a check. Wouldn't that be nice!
