Call Jeff Rank at Montana, he will get it taken care of for you. We replaced ours no issues, in fact Dometic sent it direct to my house I installed it in about 30 minutes works perfect.

We have called Jeff Rank twice now with no response. We have spoken to Ben at Dometic who tells us he has not heard of our problem before but will send us a replacement wall unit only not the CCC. He says all the complaints are for temperature adjustment not for our problem (AC/furnace/timer starting up and running by themselves. We have also had the temperature problem.
We know that a couple of postings say that they have had the timer/ac/furnace problem. Anyone else having similar problems. We have had to shut the whole system down and even take the fuse out of the circuit breaker to prevent it all from turning on while we are away from the trailer.
The dealer wants us to leave the trailer there to see for themselves what is happening. We are full timers and that is not possible seeing the problem happens at the whim of the system.

As i am writing this the timer just blinked on and now the A/C and Furnace are running at the same time. Our's is very erratic. It may happen twice in the same day and then not for another two weeks or even longer. Plese keep us posted on what you may find out. We are hoping to wait until we get back to Spokane in the spring and have it looked at there........Les

I believe it is important to mention that there are 2 problems concerning the Dometic situation. The problem that has been the most posted is with the remote and rightfully so. We also have the same problem. But there is a 2nd problem often confused with the former. A few of us have had situations where we were running the A/C or the furnace and suddenly the timer comes on and then both the A/C and the Furnace comes on at the same time. It is different than the remote and it's problems. Just to make the dinstinction. We are still looking at the fix.....thanks, Les

Haven't been online for a while but we are traveling again and I read the newest posts. We went through Jon S. at Dometic. Keystone / Montana would do nothing because our trailer was past the 1 yr. mark and as I stated before our dealer didn't submit this problem to Montana while it was still under their warranty.
Our problem was the same as stated above, i.e. A/C. furnace and timer coming on at the same time when everything was in the off mode. Had no idea when it was going to happen, either. We think we are going to like the new system and no remote! Can't understand why they ever installed them in the first place. Good luck and stay with it until you get results!

Well, dometic sent a another remote, elec. Kit, and sensor and we had it installed. As of yet, we have not had any problems with the A/C and furnace coming on at the same time so we think that part is fixed. The remote of course is just like the last one. Hopefully when we get back to Spokane in the spring, we can get the CCC...Les

Well we are on our way out to the dealer this morning to have our new CCC installed. We were sent a new wall unit last week and within 24 hours it happened. The furnace and AC both turned on together. So it has been agreed that we will get the CCC and get rid of the remote control. It arrived yesterday and they are installing it for us. Hopefully this will take care of the problems.

Simon, hope this system works out for you. It can be frustrating I know. So far (almost 3 days) our replacement has not acted up that way so we will see. Keep us posted on how your new CCC works out............Les

Between Dometic, Keystone, and our dealer we seem to have the problem resolved. The Service Manager at our dealer came out to finish the job. They were very cooperative. It has been in since Thursday and so far so good.

As some of you know we have had problems with the timer suddenly coming on and then both the AC and the Furnace coming on at the same time. We of course got a replacement (yes the same remote and wall unit and had the same problem. Both Keystone and Dometic agree that we should get the CCC. Hopefully happy days ahead. We have an appointment in Yuma, Az for the 3rd of February....keep ya posted..

We have had the new CCC for about three weeks and it is working just great. We actually can leave the trailer and not worry about the furnace and AC starting up. They made us try a new wall unit with the remote but both kept going on all the time.
It seems that Keystone and Dometic are finally realizing it needs to get rid of the remote. Good Luck! Hope it takes care of your problem as well as it has ours.

Hi Simon...They gave us also a wall unit and another remote also with no good results. I must say that Keystone has been great and we will get our new CCC in Yuma, Az around the 3rd of February...We believe that this will also be the right fix...thanks so much for the feedback....Les and Sue
