Difficult Drain Valves

Removed the handles and unbolted the cables from back wall of the convenience center after removing plastic housing"". Turned ends up and filled cable housing with WD40.worked cables vigorously until some freedom was noticeable. Reassembled . Poured cooking oil in all tanks. Drove around awhile. All valves working smoothly.

Good to know. Thanks for the information. Ours don't move hard but I am feeling some friction so it might be time for some lubrication.

Mind telling us where you got the cooking oil idea? Haven't heard that one, but sounds like a good idea.

Seems I read or heard it somewhere, just came to mind when I was thinking about what I might do. Memory is not what it used to be. Probably read it on this forum. Larry

Sounds like a good plan. How much cooking oil in each waste tank?

I used about 1/3 of a 1 qt bottle in each tank. I think it is necessary to slosh it around by moving the RV a few miles. Movement allows the oil not only to coat valves and slides but to line the insides of the tanks preventing things from sticking. JMHO Larry
