Standard Box or Long Box on New Chevy?

This is just my opinion. The answer to your question could depend on what you are going to use your truck for besides just towing. I have a crew cab shortbed dually and I would not want my truck to be 2'longer. It just barely fits in parking spots now and is difficult to drive when going to races or visiting in many of the old downtown areas such as Charleston S.C, New Orleans etc.. I have been in parking garages where I believe I may not of been able to get out of with a truck 2' longer. If we only used our truck for towing the 5th wheel and spent most time at the campground I would also prefer the long bed. Also I put my truck in the garage during the winter months and it would not fit if it was any longer. I do have a superslide hitch.

When comparing lengths of trucks, look at the numbers rather than just the trucks sitting on the lots. For example, my dually is only 7" longer than the EC. There is lots of space for 7".
