Discounts Services
Hi Has anyone out there heard of Internetcamping RV Service. Its a discount service somewhat like passport america or goodsam. I ran into it on a website it says half price and some at 10.00 a night at thousands of rv parks. Is anyone a member in our club. I'm thinking of joining another service I currently have campusa.

The reason I'm asking, it said if you weren't happy with the service you had 30 days to get your money back. I decided that I didn't want it a week later and NOW I can't get them to respond to my emails, thier is a phone number and my next day off I will call and see if they take my call or not. I will post it one way or another to make sure members don't fall for this if its not a creditable company.

Hi I got an email, today and the person said I was very impaiecent and that a refund with be issued after the 30 days trail period. They don't seem to pay much attention to their messages. I would be afraid if I needed help it could take a week or more to get in touch. I don't like the slow service, if I pay premium price I want fast or at least resonable service..

I was reading another forum where they were discouraging the site. One member said he joined, called several of the campgrounds listed and they didn't know anything about and agreement with this Internet service.

Randy, looking at the website just left me with a doubtful feeling. Can't really explain why but it did. I agree with you about paying for a service and it just comes down to buyer beware I guess.

One thing to check is how many parks do they have that are not also included in the programs you already participate in? We've used Passport America for years and years. Last time I looked probably 90% of the parks in CampUSA are also in Passport America. So it didn't make sense to us to pay for memberships in both. Just something to check in to.

Steve does the one you have, limit your stays and not let you stay in their winter season. I am in Az and you can't get into the 50 or so parks with campusa here until first part of May. They of coarse cater to the snow bird in this area and won't give discounts in the winter months. Would like to get a discount from Nov to April in the better weather here. Thanks randye

Randye,
Not Steve but we've had both the Clubs you mentioned. They both have limitations. These limitations mostly target the "busy" season and weekends. You will look long and hard before you will find any "snowbird" oriented outfits that have any significant discounts during their busy season. That's when they make the bulk of their money so they're not about to offer discounts. If you do find something please let the rest of us know.
Good luck,
HamRad

I just learned that Passport America didn't send the 2010 Camping directory. I called for one and they wanted $5.00 for copy to be mailed to me. They then offerd a FREE CD that I could download on to my computer, which I accepted. Then I learned it will cost $5.00 each year to get the CD updated.
Camp Club USA did send a 2010 Camping Directory. As stated by others, they both provide about the same RV Parks. So I will renew with Camp Club USA only next time.

I have Passport America only because there is an RV Resort near Gold Canyon AZ that is near our sons house. We usually go down there every Thanksgiving for a week at half price. It more than pays for itself there for us. And we do use it a few other times also.
